speedo-tach on 2001 roadking not working

I installed the HD speedo tach combination unit. Worked well, but now the tachometer has quit working. The speedo is okay. Cant figure out what went wrong, or what to check.

Wire connections checked? Where does the tach get its signal from?

TQ

Re: speedo-tach on 2001 roadking not working

The pin that is supplied with the unit, that goes into the connector at the speedo/tach does not slip in easily, to its detented/retained position. You have to be very careful to ensure that it latches in with a click, or it will work its way back out and the tach will quit working. Be careful not to pull teh wire out of the pin, or you will have even more problems.

Enjoy,
Rich P
