Keep OEM ECM or upgrade?
I currently have a 96 Electra Glide Classic FI and it is pretty much stock. I plan on upgrading the mufflers with Hooker Header Tuned Slip-ons but
not sure if I want to install a stage 1 kit. I was thinking about installing a Power Commander as well but only works on the 97 or newer models. My question is, would it be beneficial for me to upgrade the ECM to a newer model? I understand the stock ECM is not adjustable. |

Re: Keep OEM ECM or upgrade?
The 96 ECM is not programmable with downloads. You have to replace it with a 97 if you want to get a download.
Consider a TFI (FI-1040ST TFI) for your morelli fuel injection. It's much easier and would be cheaper in the long run. I run one on my 07 and they work very good for slipons and stage 1. http://www.techlusion.com/
