Extra Connector under battery cover

Recently bought a 2006 1200C. Found two electrical connectors under the battery cover. One is a battery tender cable with a black connector and the other is a white quick connector two wires. What is the other used for since it is not connected to anything?

Re: Extra Connector under battery cover

Is this connector for an auxillary piece of equipment? I guess I could trace it out to find out but what I would really like is a shared electrical/electronic schematic of my 2006 sporty.

Thanks

Re: Extra Connector under battery cover

Not sure on the sporty but it's for an accessory plug on the big twins. Check it with a 12v tester to see if it is hot or ignition controlled.

The schematic should tell you where it's hooked to and possibly a note about what it's used for.

Hopefully it's not the data link connector.
