Perfect! Now all I need is the part number for the connector plus the socket pins if they're not included.. will start my voyage into parts guys' Bermuda Triangle this AM. Don't think I'll need the schematic for the '09 after all.

I do have all the manuals for my '06 & thanks to hobbit it looks as if the color codes are the same for the 09. He also has identified the connector as a 4 pin deutsch which I should be able to match. What a great site!

Looks good, and I am sure it looks as good underneath. I like the Deutsch connectors because the terminations mate and seal well, unlike so many of the other connector types used on our bikes.
