Too Cold

My 2000 Dyna doesn't like to start in weather below 50. I think my battery is a little weak. I boosted it yesterday with a power pack, what a pain. Any ideas on how to better boost or charge this model?
Or does someone down south want a room mate?

Re: Too Cold

Battery tend will keep it up to were it should be at all times and make battery last years longer.
If battery is weak get rid of it before it cost your a starter
Check all connects.
If your not running sny oil and lubes they can start to get a little thicker at 50.

Re: Too Cold

If it's the original battery, it's time for a change to a new one.

This will help also...

Re: Too Cold

You can get them in a number of places, usually cheaper than the HD dealer that sells the same unit.

Check out the links in that post if you can't get it locally.

Re: Too Cold

When you run the pig tail for the quick hook up becareful not to put it were it can rub ,pinch or thouch hot pipes. Iknow this is a no brainer but check it a few times and after a few rides to make sure. this is another of those ask me how I know deals.

Nope. Harley Davidson does not make batteries or battery chargers. If you want a heavy duty battery that is gonna last, check these out:

ODYSSEY Batteries

Re: Too Cold

Funny thing is the local dealer sells the battery tender repackaged in the HD packaging here.

Sure! I have room for your bike in the garage. But no room in the house.. So, you'll have to sleep in a tent in the yard....

But your ride will be safe and comfortable...
