Determine how much and what type of riding you'll do. Buy the bike for that primary purpose. Then make it work for all other uses.

Choices, choices, choices. I want 'em all!
Thats what i like about the Dyna's is that they just look kick ass bare. When i get a HD i will be riding rain or shine. I mainly get my rides in to work and back but the wife allows me to go for therapy/stress reliever ride the days she's off.

Very sharp bike by the way.

Keep an eye out on ebay and Craigslist to for some local sales, there are usually plenty out there to choose from that may have some nice upgrades to go along with them. May allow you to step up to the custom, low rider, or maybe a fat bob if you so desire as well, while staying in the price range.

Then watch your family, they'll ridicule you and then turn around and buy one after you let them take it for a spin one day

Re: The Ultimate Question...

i would have to say fat bob for you and the wife , for some saftey reasons like the dule brake in the front , and the list go`s on ... but like any other it all ends up to your taste , go and rent one for a day and try all of the dyna`s and see what felt best for you and the wife

Re: The Ultimate Question...

AS for the Fam. They just have to get used to it. If they don't like it don;t ride with me then is that way i see. My bro rode his neighbors "06" 883 Sportster and said he didn't like it because it was still more of a upright ride as opposed to the our parents Honda VLX600's. The one thing he did like was the get up and go power and the great braking it had.

I look at craigslist Daily when i get off work and the kids are napping. Trust me i'm have been a lookin.

As for renting most places around town that i have talked to only have a Low Rider to rent which kind of sucks, even our St. Paul HDD only has one Dyna and it's a Low Rider. Maybe i'll have to keep my eye on a demo Day if they have some in town.
