Re: Aileron Hand Grips

Very comfortable, I had them on my last two bikes. No problems with hitting the chrome. Very much shaped to the hand too.

Re: Aileron Hand Grips

Glad to hear that, I haven't seen them at the dealers yet, but I really like the
looks of them on the website. I will going to change my handlebars this weekend, it will be a good time to replace the stock grips.
thanks

Re: Aileron Hand Grips

I have them too. They feel great. My hands don't tire after 6 or 8 hours riding, even several days in a row.
I have very large hands. They fit me well.
Not sure what sizes they might come in.

Re: Aileron Hand Grips

I also have been thinking of getting them. When I bought my Fatboy there was a Haritage Clasic setting a couple of bikes down from it that had the Aileron grips and they felt very compfortable and had a real nice look.

Re: Aileron Hand Grips

I've had 'em on my road king for over a year. They're very comfortable...

Re: Aileron Hand Grips

installed the grips this weekend, very nice and comfortable
like the way I can roll the throttle with fingers. I also installed mini apes from
street bob, I like the new look and feel of the bars.

On a scale of 1-10 how how hard were they to install? how long did it take?

Re: Aileron Hand Grips

It's an easy job to do, but I have done it before. I have a fix my hog dvd
for the sportster that I had. seeing someone take apart the controls was
very helpful. if you have a service manual it helps also. you will need to
loosen the throttle and idle cables all the way to remove the cable ends from
throttle grip, and then need to readjust them once everything is back together.
that's the most critical thing i would guess, and that not hard to adjust either.
just make sure when you turn the steering far left and right that your idle
does not change. you will need to remove the air cleaner to see the throttle
arm stop. this is all explained in the manual.
there is lots of help on doing this job on various forums, just do a search.
