My '07 Wide Glide came with a 160 rear tire. What would be the advantage of changing it out for a wider tire?

are you sure you don't need the whole kit? i'm looking to upgrade to a 180 rear tire and the tire is $100.00 less than the whole kit. what is the kit for? i read somewhere it was only to relocate wires. is that true? is it possible to fabricate any pieces needed?

no need for the kit. put SE180 on without kit. No problems

Yes it did. No modifications at all. Went to dealer last night to price a new one. HD is going to discontinue the SE180 in 2010. Will have to look at Metzler 880 for a fit.
