Biggest tire on 05 WideGlide?

Hey all, happy to be posting on this great forum! I bought a 05 wideglide a short while ago, and absoultly love it. Knew when i bought it that i would need to replace rear tire shortly. So right now i'm just trying to track some info down on what size tire is the biggest i can go with. Been reading about wide tire kits for 06 and above but haven't been able to find out much about 05.

Thanks!

Re: Biggest tire on 05 WideGlide?

I can squeez a 160 in the rear fender but thats about it. You have to allow clearance for the wiring from the turn signals, plus there isn't much more room on the swing arm. I run a Metzler Marathon 880, 16 x 160. That leaves about a fingers width clearance from the fender on both sides. I also put a Joker tail light assembly to fill in the back of the fender, and put progressive 11" shocks to bring the rear down so it doesn't look like a drit bike
