i went to the dealer and got the correct part for the non CA models and ran it out the back like it should. Very ez and once I thought out the plan took about 5 min. There are pics in the exploded parts book if you have it.

Thanks for the suggestion but what I wound up doing is reusing the existing tubing, the ones I removed, to make a straight run under the tank and down the back frame tube to the underside of the bottom of the frame. Zip tied it all in place and now no worries about fumes or liquid. Can't really see the tubing so I satisfied with the results. Thanks again for your reply.
