On my 2007 Wideglide im lucky to get 6000 miles (10000 km's) out of a set of Dunlops, does this sound correct and what other brand of tyre should i be looking at for next time.

I've got 13,000 miles on my stock, Dunlop front tire and it's still good. Rear has around 10 or 11,000 and it still has plenty of life left. But then I ride like a granny on her way to church!

I went back to the dunlop on my 02 wideglide because the avon was gone in 6500 miles. I get about 9000 on the dunlop. I run the 90x90 avon on the front and get about 20k on it. I think it's ok to mix tires as long as the front is the stickier of the two. I have 99k on the bike so I've had plenty of miles to compare the combos. I run the rear at 40psi and the front at 36

Re: What milage out of your tyres

I've got over 15,000 on the OEM Dunlops on my Street Glide, and the rear looks like it has at least a couple more thousand on it.

My wife's bike (not a Harley), does good to get 6,000 on the rear with Dunlops. Her bike would be comparable weight to the Wideglide.

11,000 on the orgininal 407f on my 09 UC because of cupping. Replaced it with a 408f and now have 17,000 on that one and it still looks good. I got 19000 on the rear before changing.
