My bike seems to spend most of its life between 28-3100 rpms
running along on a flat road in 6th at a lower rpm is no problem but if you need to move quickly you nee to drop one

Re: shifting into 6th

I have a 2008 street glide. My wife has a 2009 street Bob. I installed a tach to help her time her shifts. While riding, she tells me what she is running and what rpm. it usually matches my SG pretty close.

find a nice road and stretch its legs a stage 1 96" should run the clock without hiccup which is how i know mine is sick as it will when well run 105 in 3rd
check this vid

and no its not me
Is that 120 mph in 4th and shifting into 5th? I'm sure we're not looking at a km/h speedo right?
I know I can hit 60 mph before shifting into 3rd.
Obviously cruising along is a whole different story. Hehe!

yep i went out and found a private road last night after getting my bike to run and let rip, i was just about off the clock in 4th and deffinitly off the clock in 5th and still pulling, it needs re tuning and the RPM upping so then i really will be tearing the tarmac up
