WEAR THE RIGHT KIND OF HELMET!!!!

They don't call it a "brain bucket" for nothing!

(Here I go getting side-tracked as usual.......guess if I'm going to de-rail a thread, it ought to be my own!)

Wanna buy it??

Except for the pipes and air cleaner, and lots of chrome, it is pretty much intact. (missing the bags and brackets though)

It does ride GREAT, as you guys say. I had a blast bringing it home (about a 45 minute ride) yesterday from the dealer!

FXRs are excellent. I put a gazillion miles on my '91 FXRS-SP. I went from a Sporty to the FXR. Never regretted it.

Of course you are 100% right!

It's a 1993 FXRS-Convertible, and I guess my mind was elsewhere when I was typing. I also looked at a couple Dyna's over there, but eventually settled on this bike.

I'm getting a little senile, but I DO know what I bought....had a middle-aged moment I guess!

But thanks for getting me to set it straight before Glider beat me up with it!

(I know he will anyway!!)

Hey Hob....how come YOU didn't catch my dumb mistake??
Bet he doesn't even know about the air suspension and where the fill valve is either. Let alone the suspension is higher than the standard FXR

No ballistic bags either???

Re: Deal Of The Day? YOU DECIDE!

Shoot, I thought the FXR-T had the air system. I didn't know the FXRS had it too.

BUSTED AGAIN!!

Actually, while I didn't get a manual with this sled, I did find the air suspension label on the back fender under the hinged seat. (Imagine my surprise at finally tracking the oil tank down to, or correction, UP to there!!! What were they thinking???)

So, what's the air system all about?? The scoot obviously has spring type shocks!

Help me teacher!

Remember Glider, I went from Sporties in the 60's to FL's in the 70's and 80's to for a very brief time when there was nothing else to buy "new" during the Harley shortages of the early 90's, (Remember those days??), an XL1200, to the Heritage, to the Ultra!

Never had one of THESE bikes!!

If you guys can fill me in a little, (or in Glider's case, a LOT!), I'd truly appreciate it!

Lew, Hob, Glider....and all the rest of my buddies.....what are the key points that make this scooter unique?

Start with the air system, please!

All kidding aside...I guess I need some help! (Yes Glider, help aside from the "mental help" you always recommend I get!)

Got it from Millville, Lew! They probably still have it up on their site if you want to check it out. They have a nice little selection of used bikes...almost bought a 95TH Anniversary Ultra, but CrazySammy was with me and talked me out of it. ("What do you need TWO Ultras for???)

I'm glad I did the deal I did, and they treated me right, as always.
They gave me more, in "real money", than I was asking for the Sporty here when I offered it for sale!!

(I have bought a number of bikes from them...they always beat every other dealer, price-wise, and have a great service department, so it's a winning dealer all around.)

HA! Glider, if LEW didn't know, you think I would??? I can barely find the ignition switch anymore! (Haven't done even the minimal wrenching in YEARS!)
