Anyone put lowers w/ dyna standard shield
Just purchased a Dyna Quick release 58346-06 for my FXDC and would like to know if anyone has put lowers to help stabilize the up draft with this shield. If you have pic's and part #'s that would be helpful.
Thanks, Steve |

Re: Anyone put lowers w/ dyna standard shield
I put lowers and a front wheel air baffle (part#5820-79TC) on my FXSTC.
Big improvement, tested up to 75. Sorry upload failed. Al

Re: Anyone put lowers w/ dyna standard shield
One other point, whats up with the quick release setup that puts the shield about one inch in front of the headlight. It seems they have one attachment setup for all bikes. The shield should be at least flush or in from the headlight. Really poor hardware design.

Re: Anyone put lowers w/ dyna standard shield
I put a quick release on my 2008 FXDF with forwards. When I hit about 70mph I thought that my head was going to shake off. I added the Rifle lowers and the problem went away. I have ridden up to about 85mph with no problems.

Re: Anyone put lowers w/ dyna standard shield
Found the lower photo, on my softail custom , they will fit Dyna. Stopped the wind from following my legs up to my chest and face. Along with the front wheel baffle.
