Re: Windows XP Tips

Firewall
If you want to turn off the firewall for your computer: Highly recommended.

Click Start
Click Settings
Click Network Connections
Right click network connection you want to change
Select Properties
Click the Advanced tab
Uncheck Internet Connection Firewall

Ok I looked at that site and thought Hmmmmm !!
Whyare they recommending your Firewall be turned off.

Having your Firewall on has always been recommended..

Any thought on this ???

Re: Windows XP Tips

I would say without reading the page that they aren't suggesting to disable it, but rather HOW to do it if you wished to.

On second thought, I did read it and all I can think of is that you have two firewalls like I do and you could disable one which I did.

Re: Windows XP Tips

Ok thats fair. I will accept that as some 3rd party Firewalls can cause problems for those that set their security settings to high.
