There is a fair amount of confusion in this area since the makers of the technology have seen fit to not make a distinction in the physical aspects of the cards to match the distinction in the electrical specifications.

What you need is an SD card, not an SDHC card, which is evidently what you acquired. They look exactly the same but function differently internally.

Generally, MP3 players like most SD mem card devices come with software that only maps out to support a maximum size. My printer only supports 1G memory cards as an example. Only alternative is contact OEM manufacturer and find out if it is limited by the hardware or if they have a software/firmware patch download to upgrade the capacity. Good luck, I had 50/50 response...one manufacturer had a download, other said it was 1G max.

Nothing over 512mb will work in this thing. No big deal, will just get more of them!

Picked up 4 off ebay for $21. Got 10 albums on the first one. Looks like the 512 is the ticket!!!
