Had a 75 shovel,went to my dealer for a piece of wire to fix the tail light,came out with wire,AND my Wide Glide,orgasmic experience to ride faster than 60 and not get vibrated off the bike!!Sold the shovel,got some bling,never been happier!

My 83's a vibrator too Gunnut...I just looked into a set of Truett & Osborne wheels...should smooth it out some...gotta love them Shovels...who.aaah...git-up ol horse

After two sportster's I got my shovel in 1981.Its a 79 model fxe and I am still riding it today.

Old Shovels & old riders get better with age with the proper maintainance.
My '81 Sturgis keeps up with the Evos and will run away from some.
Shovelheads forever!!!

A local dealer brought a full line up of 2008's for us to test ride...I rode a Heritage (the one I'd buy if I bought a road bike for long rides)...too many gears...could not keep track and enjoy the ride...I could however get used to it...very smooth...I will not sell my 83 FXWG tho...I like the vibrations...my own Milwaukee chiropractor...
