re: Dyna Forward Controlls
Would it be feasible to install the forward controls and then have the dealership handle the shaft after? Just thinking that would save some cash but I don't know if that would work. I am very comfortable with most mechanical endeavors but sawing or pulling the clutch is a step outside my comfort zone.

re: Dyna Forward Controlls
I'm sure there would be some savings being they wouldn't have to do the brake side but how much is the question.

Re: Dyna Forward Controlls
My 07 Dyna low rider had fwd controls when I bought it. I need to have the mid controls re-installed as the fwds are just too far and I am finding it difficult. I can't find a procedure anywhere on how to re-install the mids? I would like to do it myself. I dont have the original mid controls from the bike, but I have found a set that someone took their 09 dyna. Do you think these controls would work? I just dont know how to install them? Any suggestions?

Re: Dyna Forward Controlls
The kit comes with a chrome cap to fill the hole on the front of the primary case but how does one fill the hole on the back of the primary case if you cut the shaft and don't remove the cover? Thanks for the help!
Can anyone clarify why the rear hole doesn't require plugging? I've done plenty of forward control jobs before but never on the newer (06 & up) Dynas. Thanx in advance to all who respond...... |

There's a shaft still in the hole. The shaft way goes through the case and is sealed from the primary oil. The cap on the front is just for looks. |

Re: Dyna Forward Controlls
Getting ready to do this to my 06 Street Bob. I'm going with the long route, since I am putting the black ones on and want to change the shifter to the black one as well.
Anyway, now I have to go buy the primary lock tool, before I did that I was curious if anyone had one they wanted to share or sell? |
