I have a friend who has been a riding buddy of mine for years that is selling his bike. He retired 5 years ago and has remained active during his retirement with this bike and his passion for sailing. The sailing is winning and the bike is now getting used less than he would like. Therefore the decision to sell it.

This is an adult ridden and maintained bike. I have ridden behind this bike on two trips to Sturgis and one to Estes Park, CO. It runs as good today as it did when it was new.

What we are talking about is a 2001 CVO Screamin' Eagle® Road Glide® with a 95 inch motor.

Here is some details about the bike.

50,000 Mile Service Performed in August 2012 at 47,100 miles

1. New AGM Battery May 2012
2. Changed engine oil with 4 QT. H-D “Scream-in Eagle” 20-50 Synthetic Oil
3. New H-D oil filter
4. Inspected primary chain – ¾” free-play when cold
5. Changed primary case oil with 32 oz. “Scream-in Eagle” 20-50 Synthetic Oil
6. Lubricated clutch cable
7. Replaced spark plugs
8. Adjusted clutch at clutch pack and for 1/8” free-play at hand lever
9. Replaced transmission oil with 24 oz. “Scream-in Eagle” 20-50 Synthetic Oil
10. Set tire pressure at 36 PSI in the front and 38 PSI in the rear
11. Changed fork oil and replaced drain screws, compression washers and banjo fitting O rings.
12. Lubricated and adjusted head bearing to pass steering Head Bearing Swing-by test
13. Front brake pad thickness .160” (spec >.040)
14. Rear brake pad thickness .105” (spec >.040)
15. Front brake right side disc thickness 4.90mm (spec >4.57mm)
16. Front brake left side disc thickness 5.06mm (spec >4.57mm)
17. Replaced handlebar mount bushings
18. Rear brake disc thickness 5.6mm (spec >5.2mm)
19. Replaced drive belt
20. Rear shocks – no leaks set to 6 PSI
21. Font forks – no leaks set to 2 PSI
22. Inspected front and rear wheel bearings
23. Replaced front and rear tires
24. Cleaned and re-oiled K&N air filter element
25. Checked fuel lines – good, no leaks
26. Lubricated throttle cables
27. Tightened/inspected engine mounts and stabilizer links
28. Checked all lights, horn flashers, electrical components
29. Lubricated backrest adjuster cable
30. Replaced rocker box gaskets
31. Replaced header pipe (Y Pipe)
32. Installed all seals in primary chain case

WOW...one beauty your bud's giving up there, but bikini-layden waters over leathered roadways probably always wins. Good luck & I'd make an offer, but my wife would literally kill me for adding another touring bike to the garage.

For anyone out there who is thinking about moving to a touring model this is one great buy. Owning a RG I can tell you that for touring it is one of the best rides I have been on.

Totally agree Don. This is a great buy. The great ride of a HD Touring bike and the looks of the RG. It turns heads wherever it goes.

This bike has been consigned to Grand Canyon Harley Davidson. It is at their Bellemont location (which is near Flagstaff, AZ). Here is a link to their website.

Update!

My friend just called me and the bike is still for sale.

He just got back from his winter time sailing life in those warmer latitudes and is back in Flagstaff (Parks), AZ for the summer. The bike just did not get the buyer traffic in the Flagstaff area during the winter months to be sold. My friend has taken it back from the dealer and has reduced the price.

New price is $10,500. IMO you won't find a better bargain than this.

He also has a bike trailer that was used behind this bike that is for sale. It is a Cycle Mate CM-1000. Trailer price is $800. New this trailer is $1,495. Trailer is black in color. Pictures to follow soon.
