Re: A Friendly Reminder

I just joined this site a few days ago and I can tell you two reasons I did. First, you guys really have a great site here and second, because of the very obvious lack of rudeness and profanity.
Everyone is friendly and respectful and I have quite a large disdain for profanity so it's absence is very much appreciated. I searched through quite a few sites before finding this one and I observed some free-for-alls going on in a lot of them. I for one appreciate very much the atmosphere that exists in here. Great bunch of people.

Re: A Friendly Reminder

Thanks gasbag. I agree with your findings about the other sites as well. We try very hard to keep things polite and courteous here. I feel it pays off in the long run with a better class of members.

Re: A Friendly Reminder

Your reaction to my 'offensive' language is unwarranted and uncalled for. You are treating forum members like children and this level of censorship is just wrong. The language that was omitted from my post is language that can be heard anywhere, any place, in almost any setting. I have a distaste for the controll freaks of the world who would like to have a say in everything people do, and I have distaste for the PC police as well. People today seem afraid to say almost anything, and its sad. Boot me from the forum if you wish.

Re: A Friendly Reminder

Takes all kinds!

All we ask here is to act as a grown up without using vulgarity, we're not trying to control anyone at all as he suggests. Acting out like this poster did just shows immaturity at it's best and we don't cater to keyboard commandos here on the forum. Everyone should be capable of expressing a thought without resorting to vulgarity. If they can't.......POOF!

Vulgarity has been the ruination of many a forum on the net.

Did Big Tup not relize that sometimes you just get tired of hearing all of the profanity and vulgarity out there. Go to a mall if you want to hear all of it you can always get an earful there whether you ant to or not.JMO.
