Re: A Friendly Reminder
Added to the original post for the few that make double the work for the moderators...
ALSO, removing the ("EDIT") from your post that was placed there by a moderator will get you an extended vacation from the forum. This only makes double the work for the moderators dealing with some members. Thanks

Re: A Friendly Reminder
My english level is not so high, so I could not realize (EDIT 3 letters) was a bad word. Next time I will express it in french before (so that nobody will get it) & I will buy a dictionnary for posting and look for a poetic & elegant replacement word.
My anticipation was that as a private forum, this would not have been slang or vulgary word. |

Expressing your thoughts in ANY language will arrive at the same results for you, more than likely removal from the members list. Being a private forum does not mean you can use profanity, it states that in the rules if you read them. HD Talking Rules - Harley Davidson Community We do NOT allow ANY language on the forum or even work arounds because it causes more work for the moderators.

Re: A Friendly Reminder
I gotta say, I decided to slum another HD forum site today.
I wasn't there for 30 minutes and I got sick of it. Talking about everything BUT HD, politics, no regard for language/decorum/maturity etc. This may be a highly regulated (or moderated - however you wish) site but I tell you what...after a short stint on another site I have great appreciation for what happens here. Kudos to the mods. Job well done. I'm not slummin' again. It must just be a slow work day.

Re: A Friendly Reminder
It is a bit of a shocker to see the proportion of posts in this thread which come from our moderators stating the basic rules of this forum over and over again regarding vulgarity, profanity and use of offensive lanuage. This is time and effort which could be used considering and discussing questions about MoCo motorbikes.
Let's keep it clean and just regard it as character building to be disciplined about the language we use. Those of us who can't take being "edited" should get in first gear if they can locate it and cruise over to one of the many other forums which delight in arguing, flaming and cussing, they may feel more at home there and time won't have to be wasted justifying editing or being a travel agent for a "vacation" or "emigration". |
