I get way too much info off this forum to mess up and get kicked out.

That's what I like to hear.

I get it with the words , Its your web site and you make the rules.

Good luck ,Ride hard and be safe.

Re: A Friendly Reminder

You earned it Bob! It always amazes me how the one that breaks the rules always points the finger elsewhere.

The (EDITED) change in a post has been showing up in a lot of posts lately on HD Talking.

There's been a lot of the newer members (and a few older ones too) using language that is not permitted at all on the forum.
The >>at all<< part is self explanatory and should need no further clarification for anyone, nor will it be done any longer. (See the NOTICE at the bottom of this post)

PLEASE don't try to further your position by stating that a search has revealed other questionable posts in the past as some members have been doing to justify the use of language in your posts.
We spend much more time than necessary clarifying this topic for a few that is really not needed when it's clearly stated above.( >>at all<< )

Further posting here in this thread or in PM's for the discussion of "language use'' for reasons of clarification by the offending members in regards to language that is "allowed" or "should be allowed" etc. on the forum will result in the removal of your membership from the forum with no further discussion.
Let's not push or test this issue any longer !

We come here to discuss Harleys and not to correct the juvenile language used by some members or to offer "reasons" for not using language on the forum.

It gets very time consuming to edit out the language and notify the member that no language of any kind as well as abbreviations for the same or even substitution of characters or symbols to arrive at the same will be allowed on the forum.

It also gets very time consuming for the moderators to reply to PM's from the offending member that tries to justify the use of their language or asks for an explanation as to "WHY" some words are not allowed etc. and that will definitely not be tolerated any longer.

Give it some thought before doing this.

Your cooperation with this would be very much appreciated to save the staff here a lot of time. We really don't wish to see HD Talking go the way some other forums have gone.

Thanks

FINAL NOTICE:

There have been a few members that have contacted me via PM to ask "what language IS allowed on the forum"? This was after I notified them to read the above post and furnished a link to the same when they have posted offensive words in their posts that were edited.
At this point I really can't believe that anyone that can survive in the world can't understand the meaning of what
( >>at all<< ) means in reference to "NO LANGUAGE AT ALL".

I'll Take this one step further for those members that feel compelled to ask this question in the future even after reading this post. After this when a member sends a PM to ask "what language IS allowed" on the forum or something similar in meaning, they will be removed from the members list immediately without a reply.

I don't care to have any more of my time wasted by some that seem to have an agenda here in their endeavor to act childish on the forum by posting language and those that don't have the mental capacity to figure out
what the words ( >>at all<< ) means in reference to language use.

If in doubt, leave the word out even in the simplest forms of profanity!

As only a few examples of this that have been edited (Damn, hell, crap, sucks etc)
I think you can get the picture here without a complete list of all the words that are not allowed on the forum.

Enough said here and enough of my time wasted dealing with this issue.
Whoa! I'm not even sure what I 'said' to deserve this slap on the wrist?

I'm not arguing with you, and I agree with your policy, but your FIRST admonishment to me seems a little harsh
I will be happy to follow the rules, please accept my apologies.

Re: A Friendly Reminder

I sent you a link also to the post that I edited.

As to your comment "seems a little harsh", if you dealt with the type of people coming on to the forum and posting trash, perhaps you would understand why.
The first time in most cases is a warning , the next time.......
Thanks for the understanding.

Thanks, I don't need to go back and check my language as I'm sure you're correct. I'm on several forums and they do sometimes get a little carried away
with the language and sarcastic content. I just 'go away' for a while and let it blow over. I've dropped out of a couple of them because of it.
I compliment you and the members for keeping this forum a place that is enjoyable to visit.
