Mods Editing Posts

We have had a few members that think it is OK to remove the (EDITED) that the moderators put in their post when some language is removed and also removing the "friendly reminder" tag that is put in the post when it is edited.

Just a FYI.....It's NOT OK to do this. It serves as a reference for moderators to verify if a member is a constant abuser without going any further than the post itself.

We have had a couple of members do this after their post has been edited for whatever reason and then the PM's start back and forth to the moderators about the content and reason for removing the language.

Let's just say that it takes up a lot of our time to justify or reinforce what it clearly states in the rules when everyone joined the forum.

Any member that re edits or removes what the moderator has added to their post will find that their account will be removed when they do this in the future. It's wasting much too much of our time.

It not only causes double and triplicate work for the moderators in dealing with the same post over again but also many PM's back and forth to the member that wishes to argue the point.

If in doubt about any words that are not allowed to be posted, please refer to this post.

A Friendly Reminder - Harley Davidson Community

Thanks for your cooperation.

Re: Mods Editing Posts

That's good enough for me, and thanks for all of your hard work.
