Attack Sites

FYI...

We have had a number of new members joining recently from other parts of the world that have their
"home page" links listed in their profile.
Further information listed in their profile will include bogus information in the "user profile fields" that doesn't make much sense.

There seems to be an influx of these members yesterday and today. All have already been removed from the members list.

Further checking on these new members has turned up the fact that these members are listed as "attack sites" that can damage your computer if you go to their home page listed in their profile.

For your protection, It's advisable not to view members home pages listed in the profile area without a high security level on your computer if at all.

Thanks for heads up i never understood why ya would want to do that though but it seem to be a problem on a lot of forums

Glider, Thanks for the extremely important HDTalking Homeland Security Announcement"!

Maybe we need to be mindful of EVER clicking on ANYBODY'S home page, ANYWHERE, since my son has advised me that many virus and similar "Trojan horse" programs can be spread even through innocent sites by was of some pretty spectacular attachment methods that these hackers use. It makes an innocent site look responsible, when in fact the problem originated elsewhere.

Well done Glider & Co. I'm an "overseas" member, and I love this site. I have some words for those bored and clever hackers but you'd have to edit them. Go do something useful guys, wise up.

Well, I'm feeling a bit nervous now.

I just joined yesterday! I guess I can still sign in so I'm good so far......right? Also, I do have a home page, but I'll keep it from ya all at for the moment. Its just has northwest biker stuff and It's even "G" rated. I don't go for raunchy stuff on my web site. My daughter and wife go there too often.

However, with that being said, if you you don't have a good virus protection for your computer, get it! If you can't afford it, PM me and I'll give you the link to at least two sites that have free virus protected and it's very, very good. I use one of them and I can say I've never had a virus of any kind. Also, run your computer through a router, it's a natural hardware firewall.
Ok, I'm starting to rattle on.....sorry.
