Marrying New TSSM To Bike - 784 days old

FOB Battery - 368 days old
Some have asked about changing the FOB battery and how often it should be done. I usually go with about every year to year and a half depending on how much you use the FOB and if it is the smart FOB (button less) or the button type.
The newer bikes with the smart FOB will not start if the battery goes down so it would not be a good idea... Read more

Alarm Auto Enabling/Disabling (button FOB) - 1004 days old
Auto-arming causes the system to automatically arm itself (no key fob needed) within 30 seconds after the ignition key is turned OFF.

HDI Battery Disconnects - 406 days old
Posted by "Hobbit" in reference to battery cable disconnects on the HDI bikes with alarms when installing battery tender pigtails...
If its a HDI bike take the fob to the bike and turn on the ignition.
Then remove the maxi fuse this disarms the alarm without the resultant siren alert.

There have been some reported problems posted on the forum concerning the Alarm FOB and carrying it too close to electronics like cel phones etc.

With your fob present, if the smart security system continues to sound, one of the following can be the cause of this.
1. Electromagnetic interference such as power lines and other electromagnetic sources can cause false triggering. Try moving the bike about 15 feet if parked and see if it changes.

Alarm Key Fob Assignment (button FOB) - 978 days old
This must be done when you buy a new button type key fob for the alarm if you loose one.
I assume you know your personal entry code using the directional switches and the key switch to activate , if not , it's in the owners manual.
