Here's a pictorial on the installation of the smart siren II on a bagger.

The remote pager unit only works with the Smart Siren II.

Here's the instructions for the...

Re: Smart Siren II installation

I will presume the install is the same for an 09 Ultra? If so does anyone have the part number? Look so EZ even a cave man can do it. LOL! I would like to add to the light only alarm I currently have. Is it part number 68328-06? I found it on the HD site. Just want to be sure it is compatible with my current system
Thanks Glider.

Re: Smart Siren II installation

I doubt they redesigned the system for the alarm but I would check with the dealer before buying it. The -06 in the part number you posted indicates that it is a part that has been used for 3 years.

Re: Smart Siren II installation

I just installed one on my 06 Ultra, and it was a piece of cake. It only took about 30 minutes. The unit fit very securely without any problems. The only thing I would note is that the unit will fit into place just as easily with the siren facing into the bike (improper) or away from the bike (proper). It should still function if installed backwards, but would probably be significantly muffled. It worked great right out of the box, although the instructions suggest that you ride for 4 hours to charge the battery upon installation.

Re: Smart Siren II installation

Just put mine on exactly as you described. Took longer to take off the tour bags than it did to install. Did exactly like you said, works perfectly. Thanks AGAIN Glider.

Re: Smart Siren II installation

I just picked up my new 2008 Softail Deluxe SE, Saturday 02/28/2009. ( Also got 15" of snow on Monday here in NY.) Any way, I looked over the pictures and instructions about installation of the smart siren 2. I appreciate the good, thorough listing. Do you know if these instructions apply to the scooter I just purchased. The blinking light security feature seems a bit useless if 4 muscle heads want to carry off the scooter, ( Unless I’m within eye view and have to waste 4 perfectly good bullets.)
I thanks for your help, advice, and listing.

You should find your alarm hook up in front of the rear wheel under the panel.

The pics have been added to the top post.

Thumbs up Re: Smart Siren II installation

Hey there, I also have just benefited from you post! Thanks a lot for the great work!!
I just installed my, took me 20 mins on my 09 St. Glide. Great plug and play set up.
I am a little disappointed to hear a faint chirp from the alarm. I guess it need to charge some... Hopefully it will get louder, or it was not worth the $100
Thanks again!

Re: Smart Siren II installation

The chirp is nowhere near as loud as the alarm. You will find that the alarm is plenty loud enough.

Re: Smart Siren II installation

When you said installation on a softail and showed the location, would that differ on an 09 night train? or would it still be in front of the rear tire?

Thanks
