I always look for the common denominator. Most of the time, the kids lack parental controls or come from broken families. Bullying is a large part of the problem with our youth. Without a parent role model to support the children in times of confusion, many of these kids resort to the measures they see and hear about rather than consulting an adult for guidance.

Church is another great place kids can find the support they need.

Unfortunately, the news media doesn't always reveal the whole story behind the childs problem. Too many times, the news people would rather stimulate our senses with sensationalism and fear.
