I just completed a 1400 mile run with this setup and here is what I have to report.
I had no codes either active or logged prior to the start of the trip.
The riding was all interstate travel at speeds of mainly 70-75 MPH
GPS showed the following:
total time 29hrs 33min. running time 20hrs 12 min. running speed average 64.9 MPH
Fuel average for the trip: 41.38 MPG
8 fuel stops, with the highest mileage being 45.6 and the lowest being 34.8
I noticed a slight decel pop when exiting the interstates, coming down from running at speed for an extended period of time. No loud bang or backfire, just a slight pop.
Upon arriving at my destination, I rechecked for codes, and found none.
The bike performed flawlessly. I am extremely pleased with the overall performance and at this point, I do not plan on changing a thing.
My feeling on the XIED's is that they have given me exactly the performance that I was initially expecting from this bike.
My temps are lower, the engine runs smoother, throttle response is improved, 6th gear is more useable, and the overall feel of the bikes performance is much more to my liking.
Did the XIED"S give me 10 HP....NO
Did they drop my temperatures 100 degrees....NO
Nor did they make me coffee or give me winning lottery picks
However, for a hundred bucks, they gave me exactly the performance I FEEL the bike should have had from the MOCO.
About the same as what i am see from them so far.
Moco can not do it by law Xieds are not leagel for street use thats why
