Yes, I have an 07 but have a bud that has a 90 FLH running this bulb too with no problems.

I used the same reflector which is the new style and so far no problems with heat either. I check it once in a while just to be sure there's no adverse effects from the bigger bulb.

A relay will never hurt in any case.
