These sound more like deal issues than HD problems. Living in Wisconsin I know a lot of HD owners. Many around here have two and have been going to the same dealer ship for 20 or more years. The dealer we use has been here 50 years same owner.
I have never seen any of the horror stories like I read about in these post.
I have seen a few bikes with a problem from time to time but it was always taken care of. The only issue I had with my newest bike was the fuel light came on way to soon. I did not even bother taking it in untill 5 months are I told them about it. They fixed it no question ask. Turn 13,000 miles on it today.
what I do see is people moding out a bike ,it starts acting up they pull all the stuff off them claim HD screwed up their bike.
If a dealer is not doing right and there are some of those that treat Hd dealerships like these moderen day walmart car lots. DO NOT GO THERE.
And shop at good dealers not walmart and the discount no over head dealer on line and things will get better.
Another thing I see is a buyer will drive 100 miles or more to discout dealer to save 100 dollars on a new bike. Then run into the local dealer and expect to be first in line to get work done at the busyest time of year.
read a post the other day " I put some cheap after market pipes on" well you know were that was going.
