Apparently you have forgotten a certain President by the name of Jimmy Carter? hmmm. He is the reason I became a blue dog and am now an independent.

Personally I might be more inclined to vote for Obama if he would get off of this "Hope and Change" retoric. Hope is a concept pure and simple, its not not policy. You can hope all you want. Remember the old saying " Hope in one hand and ..... in the other....? Nuf said. Change is good I am all for it. As long as goverment stays out of my pocket and life. But, let me know how you are going bring about that Change and how it is going to work. Talking about change and not willing to give ideas about how you are going to do that is just empty talk. Give me something to chew on. I thought the concept of a primary was to start to assemble your platform so the your party knows what your planning on so they can either back you or not. I guess things really do change the longer I am alive.

Its all about hot air now and not substance. As far as his speech , well I really got offended by it actually. I really don't like being in a round about way that because my opinion of his pastor is what it is that "I" am a racist. I don't agree with Wright's inflamitory retoric, but I spent 20 years defending his right to say it! I don't have a racist bone in my body, my oldest daughter's Godfather happens to be a Black American that I am very glad to call my brother, because he saved my life in the Gulf War.

Oh and while I am ranting , we need to quit bashing Bush and start looking to the future, Bush is a lame duck! He can't run for president again. We need to move on and calling him names and this and that just shows the other side just how obtuse we are on the other side. I did not vote for Hillary, I can tell you that, for some of the reasons that were stated above. If she wins the nomination I wont vote for her either, and if Obama doesnt give me something more in the way of substance he isn't going to get my vote either.

I relenquish the soapbox. Flame on!
