You guys know how to fight dirty and I just LOVE that quality in a person!!
BTW, How about shedding some light on "Digger". I've got a general idea but never got it from the horse's mouth. Oh, and another thing: According to my wife and kids I do a fine imitation of a septic tank, so I guess i resemble that!

Good on you Joe! Yes, you are right there, we are both colonial cast offs from Britain and Europe I guess, so we do have a lot in common. Like I've mentioned to DK before, if it wasn't for you Americans coming to our aid in the second world war, I most probably would be speaking with a heavy Japanese accent. Thanks to your forebears help and sacrifice, I live in a free democratic country, so thanks guys!!
Where the term "Digger" came from Joe, was the first world war, where in Europe the Aussie soldiers had to dig trenches, because a lot of the terrain was quite flat, to fight from, hence they were called "Diggers". All Aussie soldiers are now called Diggers, it's virtually replaced the name of Soldier.
