Having a 2005 bike, if you do not have EFI or Alarm System, your need for full 250 CCA rated battery may be less. If you add a switch to the headlight or cutout relay to shut it off during cranking that would help as well. Since you still have electronic ignition, the voltage threshold during starting is still around 9-10V so do consider the current draw during starting (Reserve CCA) is still the controlling factor determining the battery size (almost 3x the 1100W stock starter draw).
